Delete your account
Version 1.0 · in force from 28 September 2026
You can delete your Apex Routine account in two ways: yourself in the app, or by email if you can no longer get into the app. In the app, deletion happens immediately; by email, we carry it out within thirty days. In both cases it is permanent. There is no cooling-off period and no recovery: what is gone is gone. If you want to keep your data, request a copy first (see Take your data with you first).
What is deleted
Everything attached to your account, from our database:
- your account: name, email address, password hash, language and time zone;
- your link with Sign in with Apple or Google, if you used one; with Sign in with Apple we notify Apple that the link has ended, so that the app also disappears from your Apple ID;
- your profile: year of birth, sex, height, weight, experience, goal, training days and settings;
- your injury zones, your favourite and excluded exercises;
- all your weekly plans, workouts, sets, max attempts, records and estimated maxes;
- your heart rate and energy values from the Apple Watch;
- your subscription data with Apple's transaction IDs;
- all your access tokens and verification codes, for your iPhone and your Apple Watch.
You are signed out on all devices. You can register again later with the same email address, but you then start from scratch.
Take your data with you first
If you want to keep your training history, email support@apexroutine.com from your account's email address before you delete your account. Within a month you receive a JSON file with your profile, your settings, your plans, your workouts, your sets and your records. After deletion we can no longer produce it.
In the app
- Open your profile.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- If your Apex Premium subscription is still running, the app first shows you Apple's subscription screen to cancel it (see Your subscription).
- Read what will disappear and confirm with your password, or with one extra tap if you are signed in with Apple or Google.
After that you are signed out and your account no longer exists. You receive one confirmation email; for that we use your email address one last time, and it is the last email you receive from us.
By email
If you can no longer get into the app, for example because you no longer have your device, send an email to support@apexroutine.com from your account's email address, with the subject "Delete my account". We delete the account within thirty days and confirm by email. If you email from another address, we first ask you to show in another way that the account is yours before we delete anything.
Your subscription
A running Apex Premium subscription belongs to your Apple ID, not to your account. Deleting your account does not stop the subscription, and Apple may keep renewing it until you cancel it. So cancel it yourself in your Apple ID under Subscriptions, or via Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, preferably before you delete your account; the app also points this out when you delete. You request a refund from Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are still billed after deleting your account, or if Apple does not give you a refund where you are entitled to one, email us: we help you and refund you ourselves if necessary.
What remains
- In our database: only a hashed version of your email address and the time of deletion, for three years, so that we can show that we carried it out. Your account cannot be recovered from that. Backups are overwritten within thirty days; they serve only to restore the service after a failure and are never used to put a deleted account back.
- On your device, in Apple HealthKit: the workouts the Apple Watch app wrote there remain in the Health app. That data is on your device and with Apple, not with us. If you want it gone too, delete it in the Health app under your workouts, or delete all data Apex Routine has written there.
- With Apple: your purchase history and your Apple ID, under Apple's own terms.
- Support emails: we keep an email exchange with us for at most twelve months after the last message, and your deletion request itself for three years, so that we can show that we carried it out.
- Waiting list and contact form on the website: these are separate from your app account. You unsubscribe from the waiting list with the link in every email.

Questions
If you are unsure, or want to know first exactly what will disappear, email support@apexroutine.com. We reply within a few working days; feel free to wait with deleting until you have a reply.
